With creative enthusiasm we continue to plan for the upcoming landmark year. We invite you all to celebrate with us. Please share your personal stories and photos from your time spent at the Lighthouse Inn. Undoubtedly, the Lighthouse Inn legacy is illuminated by the memories of families, guests & employees.

  1. One of my best memories is how we managed to come to Lighthouse Innfor the first time. My husband was turning 45 in August 1994 and decided he wanted to do something different for his upcoming birthday. We had never taken a vacation, just the two of us raising our children, but since our baby was 17 we thought we would give it a try. At the time, Lighthouse Inn was listed in the Mobil Travel guide, highly recommended, so in JULY my husband called to make reservations for mid-August. The clerk on the other end of the phone paused then informed him that reservations are usually made one year in advance. His balloon was a little deflated, but then she proceeded to say that someone had just cancelled and that we could have the Ocean Front Cottage. We have been returning every year. In the many years we have made some very nice people, not only in the staff, but in the customers.

  2. Our daughter graduated from Hallmark Institute of Photography in Turners Falls, MA last June and to celebrate, we visited Cape Cod for the first time, as we are from Portland, OR. I booked the Inn on line as it appeared to be the perfect Cape experience on the water. We couldn't have been happier. We were there right before the 4th of July rush, and experienced a lazy, peaceful holiday. As the person in the previous comment, we were lucky to have the cottage closest to the water and woke each morning to waves lapping at the shore. The food and service was wonderful. What a delightful way to begin our summer. We wish the Inn was a bit closer to home, but perhaps we will be lucky enough to return again someday.
